She is survived by her children Ronald (Sydney), Blaine (Ginger), Lester (Mary), Jerry (Debbie), Paula (Jim); 41 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.

Veda was the leader of her family. Her husband Wayne lost his leg and was in a wheelchair at 25 years old. Despite this challenge, Veda still made sure her children enjoyed life. She took them sledding, tubing, riding bikes down the canyon, and she taught them to paint and play the piano. She was a cub scout leader and was involved in scouting with her boys. She took them on trails and to cook-offs. She was incredibly strong and resilient. She loved being outside and enjoying the beauty God has created for us. She also loved music and was very creative. She composed silly songs that made her kids and grandkids laugh.

Veda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This was very important to her, and she loved the Savior. She had a very strong testimony and a deep love for genealogy. She enjoyed doing genealogy work and learning about her progenitors. She loved to share their stories with anyone who would listen. It fascinated her.

Veda went to college at 50 years old and she graduated from BYU. She became a schoolteacher and that life calling fit her so well! She had a terrible car accident that crippled her. She remained positive and taught class for over a year in a wheelchair. She came back a pillar of strength. She was recognized many times from the school district for her creativity and success in the classroom.

Veda was a talented artist. She painted over a hundred masterpieces, and she made sure each of her children and grandchildren had a painting to display in their home. Family was very important to her. She was extremely caring, and she lived her life with passion. She was kind, wise, hardworking, smart, creative, generous, determined, and wonderful. All who knew Veda had a beautiful connection to her. She has a very special place in so many hearts.
