Lori Driggs

December 17, 1959 — February 25, 2020

Lori Driggs, 60, of Provo, Utah, died February 25, 2020 in Draper, Utah. She was born December 17, 1959 at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah to Chase Driggs and Merle Grover Driggs.

She graduated from Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1978. She attended Brigham Young University before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lima Peru. Upon her return from Peru, she returned to Brigham Young University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology.

After working with deaf education in both Idaho and Utah, she chose to return to Southwest Missouri State University where she completed a master’s degree in Deaf Education. Later, she completed a second master’s degree in Old Testament Studies at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado. Lori worked many years in education in Missouri, Idaho and Utah with an emphasis on individuals with hearing disabilities.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many teaching positions and in leadership roles in the Relief Society. For many years, she worked and served in both the Provo Temple and the Provo City Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lori was a talented artist and musician and enjoyed using her talents to create personalized artwork for many family and friends. At the time of her passing, she was enjoying serving as the primary pianist for the Utah Valley ASL ward. Her favorite activity was serving in the temple. She looked forward to that every day. She also enjoyed many outdoor activities including skiing, hiking and cycling.

Survived by sister, Corinne Driggs (Rodney) Boshard, Peoria, AZ; brother Michael Driggs, Kansas City, MO, brother Robert F. Driggs, Ogden, UT, brother J. Kimball Driggs, Salt Lake City, UT, brother Mark Chase (Laurel) Driggs, Riverton, UT, brother Brint U. (Kirsten) Driggs, McKinney, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

FUNERAL SERVICES

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the Ammon LDS 4th Ward house, 3000 Central Avenue, with Bishop Mitch Kvarford officiating, where the family will meet with friends from 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
