Kathy Ann (Bantock) Dieckmann

April 11, 1951 — November 25, 2019

God took home an angel today, Kathy passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Kathy was born on April 11, 1951, in Salt Lake City Utah, to Merle Bantock Jr. and Vernetta (Kaye) Kesler Beasley, she was the 3rd oldest out of 6 children. She earned the nickname ”Torchy the Terror” from her Dad.

Kathy was an amazing Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She was a wonderful homemaker; she could stretch a dollar and make something out of nothing.

Her greatest joy was her family, she loved spending time with her granddaughters Haille and Rylee, playing either card games or a game she made up, they were the true light of her life. She enjoyed shopping and going to lunch with her brother Cory. Family parties, holidays, BBQ’s and Sunday dinners were some of her favorite gatherings, she loved getting together with family and friends to laugh and joke. She cared deeply for other people, if you were lucky to know her, she made sure you always had everything you needed. When she cooked, she made enough to share, whether it was taking dinner to her family or her neighbors. She was stubborn and hard headed, she loved bossing people around, especially when it came to shopping, she was sure you didn’t need what you were buying.  She was creative and could sew anything you wanted. When her daughter was little, she would get up in the morning to sew her a new shirt for school. Kathy truly loved life and loved meeting new people, she will be missed by so many who had the pleasure of knowing her, even if it was for a short time.

She is survived by her daughter Heidi Madill, son-in-law Ron Madill, granddaughters Haille Madill and Rylee Madill, sister Sunny (Rick) Keppler, brothers Cory Bantock, Kim (Cile) Bantock, Greg Bantock, 3 nieces and 8 nephews, 3 great-nieces and 9 great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother James R. Glenny and niece Jessica K. Bantock.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 2-4:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road where  family and friends may pay their respects.
