Jackie

Jacqeline Myers Jacobs, wife, mother, grandmother, sister passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2020. Jackie was born on January 26, 1961 to Verna Leone Cole and Marion Gilbert Myers in Stockton, California.

Jackie spent most of her life in Magna, Utah where she met her husband of 44 years, William E. Jacobs Jr. They married on May 8, 1976.

She loved spending time with her siblings and extended family, visiting and having a good time at backyard barbeques. She loved being in the mountains camping, especially fishing and water skiing. She was an amazing sister, a very loving mother to her children, and a wonderful wife. She always cherished the long mother-daughter talks, giving advice and encouragement.

Jackie will be remembered for her love of music and dancing, as well as her devotion to her children, especially Crystal, attending to her many needs. Whenever she was needed, she was always willing to help. She could always be counted on to be honest, straight forward and unselfish.

Some of the family’s favorite memories include: her standing at the kitchen sink on a summer day, softly humming while doing dishes; going to Winder Dairy and getting cheese fries; going on long walks picking blackberries along the way; getting pretzels at the mall; singing along to Johnny Cash songs; watching 2020 and Unsolved Mysteries; watching movies while eating breakfast; the way she lit up when she found something funny; and her love of Neil Diamond’s butt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Bruce Anderson; and sister Lynette Olsen.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband Bill; and her three children Crystal Jacobs, Jennifer, (Ryan) Taylor and their children, Grayson and Wyatt, and Destinee Jacobs; as well as her siblings Billy Anderson, Sarita Pike and Dawn Johnson.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:00 am at Pleasant Green Cemetery in Magna, Utah.
