Doris June McCarty

Doris June McCarty passed away peacefully on September 3, 2021.

Doris was born on April 27, 1938, to James Reginal and Artie Nomie Cox in Mesa Rica, New Mexico. She grew up with her 2 sisters Betty and Barbra and her one brother Hal. She married her loving husband Raymond " Red " McCarty. They had many adventures together with their six children and they all settled in West Jordan, Utah where they enjoyed their lives together for over 50 years. One of their greatest memories were coming home after school to see what amazing treats she baked up for them all such as donuts cakes and pies, she always loved to cook and bake and was amazing at it.

Don McCarty- She always gave without asking for anything in return.

Carrie Parsons- Mom was the best listener/adviser an all-around beautiful mother that anyone could have ever had. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful mother.

Linda Gerber- Mom was my very best friend she always gave encouragement and love never mean or judgmental she was everyone's mom and friend. 

Vivian McCarty- She was there for me, and I will miss and love her forever.

Natalie McCarty- Our mother and grandmother had a golden heart that will always be irreplaceable. 

Doug McCarty- No matter where I was, she was there for me I will always miss and love her

Doris always said how blessed she was to have such a big, amazing family that she loved and cherished each one of her 6 children, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great. We will all miss and love you always and forever in our hearts your light and love will live in us all.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Barbara; and brother Hal; and is reunited with her love Red.

She is survived by her children Don McCarty, Carrie Parsons, Linda Gerber, Vivian McCarty, Natalie McCarty, Doug McCarty; and all her grandchildren. 

A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Rd. Taylorsville, UT, 84123 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Graveside service following immediately after the viewing at 1:00 p.m. at the West Jordan Cemetery located at 7800 South 1300 West, West Jordan, UT, 84088.
