Delores Ann Weller Welty

Delores Ann Weller Welty, 72, of West Valley City was promoted to glory on June25, 2020, after a long battle of Renal Failure at her home. She was born on September 3, 1947 in Elmira, New York to Helen Hollenbeck and Lawrence Weller Jr.  Delores had many brothers and sisters. Gale Weller, Sherry Main, Darrell Weller, Darwin Weller, Arnold Weller, Anthony Weller, Gabe Weller, Wayne Weller, Helen  Statton  and Delia Weller.  

In November 15, 1968 she married Frank Maines and divorced in June 8, 1970. Then she married David Lester Welty in August 18, 1972 in Horseheads ,New York.  Several years after his death she remarried Robert White in Salt Lake City, Utah in January 14, 2012. They were married for six months. After his death in August 2012 she remained single since then.  

Delores is the mother of three daughters: first, Simicia Marie June Hubbard passed away in her young months of life, second, Seminole (Sam)  Welty.  Sam Kimmel grew up and gave her four wonderful  grandchildren:   Krystal Kimmel, Joshua  Kimmel, Gage Kimmel  and  Brooklynn Kimmel.  Third, Naomi Welty Naomi  Jewett  grew up gave her three rugrat  grandkids: David Jewett,  Jason Jewett,  Scott Jewett.  Grandaughter Stephanie Wolf.  Robert White, her third marriage, had brought to the family his sons, daughters and grandchildren that added much love to the family.   

Being involved in the local community that she lived in she held several volunteer positions. Some of those positions were Ladies auxiliary of The Eagles Club in Colorado Springs, Co. for over 40 years. She was a girl scout leader/ troop leader/ cookie chairman. Delores’s career mostly consisted of working in the hospitality restaurant industry where she made many friends along the way.    

Delores loved animals. She had several dogs and cats throughout her life. She also enjoyed going to The Salvation Army on Wednesdays, making crafts, gardening in her flower bed, camping, and traveling with David around the United States. 

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Dave Woodard; 3rd husband Robert White; mother-in-law Nona Manrie; Elanie Carter best friend; mother Helen Edna Hollenbeck; 2nd husband David Welty; father Lawrence Raymond Weller Jr.; brother Gale Weller; her daughter Simicia Marie June Hubbard; cat TT; and dog Hank. 

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 6, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, Taylorsville, Utah, where a viewing will precede services at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park, next to her husband David Welty.
