Debora Ellen Schoenfeld Stapley

June 12, 1953 — September 15, 2020

Debora Ellen Schoenfeld Stapley, 67, of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at home in Granger, Utah surrounded by her loving family. She bravely battled cancer for the last 26 months.

She was born June 12, 1953 to Sonny and Dolores Schoenfeld in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the fourth of seven children. After attending Granger High School, she started her family and brought three beautiful daughters into this world, whom she adored. Her life revolved around watching them grow. She made it to every possible event her children were involved in. Mom was very involved with the sports program at church and even coached softball, basketball, and volleyball so she could spend as much time as possible with her girls. She was so thrilled to become a Grams 14 times over!

She worked as an administrative assistant for multiple engineering services. Most of her career was spent working at Kennecott Utah Copper. She loved working. Every day she went to work with a smile and passed along her happiness to her coworkers. She made many lifelong friends.

In her spare time, she enjoyed watching baseball, basketball, and drag racing with Grandpa. She also loved playing softball and was simply obsessed with Disneyland. She was excellent at bowling and drag racing.

She spent many years caring for Grandma and Grandpa Schoenfeld. She served as Primary chorister from the age of 18 to 53.

Survived by Tanya (Cory) Joosten, Adrian (Shawn) Snow, Toni (Micah) Sorensen; and 14 grandchildren; siblings Wayne (Marsha) Schoenfeld, Linda DaBell, Sandra (Carl) Jorgensen, Steve (Annie) Schoenfeld, Liesa (Tim) Sandall, and Matt (MarDee) Schoenfeld.
