Barry Duane Jordan

Barry Duane Jordan, born June 4, 1942 in Tooele, Utah, passed away on December 20, 2020 at the age of 78 in Lehi, Utah. He was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

As a young man, Barry served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central States Mission. Following his service as a missionary, he attended Brigham Young University and received his bachelor’s degree. He later attended Utah State University to receive his master’s degree.

He met his sweetheart, Renee Jensen, in Duchesne, Utah and they were married on June 23, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple and enjoyed 54 beautiful years together. Barry and his wife had seven wonderful children.

He served as a bishop for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and throughout his life he served in each calling faithfully and steadfastly.  

He is survived by his wife Renee Jensen Jordan; and his 5 children Greg (Maria) Jordan, Teri (Jeff) Brown, Michele Jordan, Kristie (Steve) Diaz, and Karen (Jerron) Green. He also survived by his siblings Leigh Jordan, Sheila Truelove, Brent Jordan, and Chancelyn Jordan. We are so grateful that he has joyfully reunited with his sons Kevin Jordan and Jeffrey Jordan; his parents Earl Jordan and Violet B. Mitchell Jordan; and his sisters LaRae Jordan Abbott Victor, LaFae Jordan and Shanna Jordan. Barry also had 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is deeply loved and will be missed dearly.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 30th, 10:00 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held prior to services from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Interment, Duchesne City Cemetery. The funeral services will be live streamed at: https://vimeo.com/494203274
