Lowene Packard Saxton

Lowene Packard Saxton, 87, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2018 at her Hearthstone Manor home in Spanish Fork, Utah. Lowene was born in Kuna, Idaho, and resided in Sacramento for60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Lory V. Saxton; parents: Earl and Clara Hiatt Packard; siblings: Arthur, Lawrence and Jeanne Nielson; son-in-law, Craig Wilcox; and grandson,Thomas Henderson. She is survived by her children: Linda Wilcox, Charlene Meyer (John), Lorna Hutchings (Byron), Bill Germaine (Savannah), Sandra Henderson (Clark), Rebecca Heywood (Craig), Jon Saxton (Amy); 30 grandchildren and47 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Groneman Cox; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was an active member of The LDS Church and served in the Ireland, Dublin Mission with her husband. Grandson, Elder Ian Saxton is currently serving in the South Carolina, Columbia Mission. Lowene was an author, quilter, artist, singer, seamstress, musician, and family genealogist. Funeral services in Utah are Thursday, May 17, 2018 at McDougal Funeral Home, Taylorsville. A 2:00 pm viewing will be followed by a 3:00 pmservice. Funeral services in California are Monday, May 21, 2018 in the Hurley Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2730 Hurley Way, Sacramento, CA. 95864. A 10:00 amviewing will be followed by an 11:00 amservice. Interment will follow at Green Valley Cemetery in Rescue, CA. Place of Birth:Kuna, IdahoPlace of Death:Spanish Fork, Utah
