Bruce Mandla Bangerter

April 30, 1995 — June 27, 2018

It is with great sadness, that the family of Bruce Mandla Bangerter announces his passing on June 27, 2018 at the age of 23. Bruce was born in Salt Lake City Utah April 30, 1995 as the first child of Bryce Wesley Bangerter and Laura Ann (Tyler) Bangerter. He had to learn independence early on while his father worked graveyard shifts, traveled, ran his own business and for a time worked two jobs. At home his mother would give him 6 younger siblings by the time he was 9. Moving was not uncommon during his early years and Bruce would end up attending 7 different schools before graduating from Herriman High School in 2013. As an adult, he attended Utah State University, BYU Idaho, and Salt Lake Community College. Bruce worked as a security guard for CBI Security and planned to become a police officer. He loved singing, running on the track team, the color of a full moon with a wisp of cloud on top, the smell of campfire smoke, tabletop gaming, the deep purple of a pansy, helping a fellow sufferer of depression to feel loved and valued, first responders, math, a good nerf gun battle with his family, and spending time with his daughter Inara. Bruce was preceded in death by his sweetheart Kathryn Adelaide Hapgood; stillborn twin nephews Marcus and Dominic Jardine; Aunt Robinette Bangerter; and grandfather Rudolph Bruce Bangerter. He is survived by his spouse James Bangerter; daughter Inara Jade Bangerter; father Bryce Bangerter; mother Laura Bangerter; brothers Daryl and Travis Bangerter; and sisters Laurie, Storii, Kayla and Carissa Bangerter; along with many aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. We love you Bruce and will miss you every day.
