Wynn Louis Olson

February 1, 1950 — October 28, 2018

Wynn Louis Olson, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away Sunday October, 28, 2018 at his home in West Valley City, Utah. Wynn was born in California in February of 1950 to Cecilla Hayes Grindstaff and Otto William Olson Jr. He married Janice Larson on March 4, 1972 in Las Vegas, NV. Even though growing up in Las Vegas taught him how to hustle you at the pool table or a deck of cards, what he was really after was just a chance to laugh with you and enjoy the time spent in your company. Family was the most important part of his life. Wynn was silly and kind, especially to his grandchildren who he could always get to giggle. Wynn also cared for those he knew from the neighborhood, church, and his career. During his second career as a UTA bus driver, he often would grab the mic and chat with passengers as they commuted across town. His good-natured laugh and toothy smile will be a beacon of light in our memories for many years to come. Wynn is survived by his wife, Janice Larson, and their four children: Aaron (Liz) Olson, Kelsey (Jim) Hadley, Kimberly (Jason) Losee, and Andrew (Heather) Olson. He leaves a great legacy for his sixteen grandkids. He will be missed by many other family members and friends. A funeral will be held Saturday, November 3rd, from 4:30-5:30pm at the Georgetown Ward building at 5823 S 4800 W in Kearns, UT. Because Wynn helped make our lives better, in lieu of flowers, the family ask that you take some time with your loved ones to make them smile too.
