William Lance Lambourne

William Lance Lambourne, 59, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2026. His sudden passing has left a gaping hole in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bill was a devoted husband and family man. He married his sweetheart, Colene Lambourne, and together they shared more than 26 years of marriage together. Bill believed in making his marriage a priority. They had date night every week, no matter what, and he made sure Colene always knew how much she meant to him. He lived by the words, “Choose your love and love your choice.”

Bill’s greatest joy was his family. He showed his love by showing up at recitals, gymnastics, football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse games. He spent countless hours wrestling, playing water balloons, racing pumpkins, and playing baseball in the backyard with his children and grandchildren. His oldest grandson Bryatt coined him as “Papa”, which would evolve into “Papa Voom Voom”, the name all of his grandkids would know him by thereafter. He was always looking for ways to bring his family closer together, including starting the Lambourne golf league. Every Friday, brothers, sons, daughters, wives, in-laws, and anyone else who wanted to play would gather together at Murray Parkway. Bill was the glue that kept his family connected.

Bill had a gift for making people feel loved, welcomed, and included in every part of his life . Whether you were his closest relatives, or one of his hundreds of customers, he had a way of making you feel like you mattered. He noticed people, made friends easily, and genuinely cared about what was happening in their lives. His kindness and concern for others made him a light to many.

Bill loved the simple pleasures of life. He loved being outside, especially boating, fishing, golfing, going for walks, and simply bathing in the sun. He treasured the friendships and memories made through those activities. Above all, he found happiness in providing for his family. His goal every day was to make sure his loved ones had a roof over their heads and dinner on the table. He had an immense sweet tooth, with Diet Coke, chocolate donuts, pastries, Almond Joys, and ice cream being staples in his home. He was also perfectly happy eating white bread and cheese while sitting on the couch watching sports. If Bill wasn’t working, golfing, or fishing, he was probably outside enjoying the sunshine—unless his beloved Dodgers were playing.

Bill also loved competition. He was a gifted athlete and had a drive to win whether he was playing sports, board games, or arm wrestling. He almost always got the last laugh and remains undefeated in arm wrestling.

Bill was a man of strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in God, our Eternal Father. He faithfully served in Church callings, including as a Young Men leader and youth counselor. He led his family by example and with a strength and love that earned the respect of everyone around him.

Heaven gained back one of its strongest and most valiant spirits. Bill was reunited with his parents, Jack and Nancy Lambourne; his in-laws, Terry and Kriss Seiter; his niece, Jackie Lambourne; his granddaughter, Zaylee Mae Larsen; and his grandbabies, Larsen and Hunt.

Bill is survived by his wife, Colene; his children, Skylar Lambourne, Ashli (Preston) Larsen, and Summer (Tanner) Hunt; his grandchildren, Keaton Lambourne, Felicity Lambourne, Sienna Lambourne, Bryatt Jones, Kinlee Jones, Nash Larsen, and Kannon Larsen; his siblings, Christy Lambourne, John (Tammy) Lambourne, Rocky (Robin) Lambourne, Michelle (Craig) Sommer, and Jen (Curtis) Pulsipher; and his many nieces and nephews.

Bill will be remembered for his hard work, strong faith, competitive spirit, sense of humor, and, most of all, the way he loved his family and made everyone around him feel like they mattered. He will be deeply loved, profoundly missed, and never forgotten.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 18th from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM with funeral services to follow. Services will be held at 5735 S Fashion Blvd. Murray, UT 84107.
