William "Bill" Bolinger, 76, passed away at his home in West Valley City, Utah on October 28, 2026.

Bill was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on June 12, 1950, and spent his life in the Mountain West. He grew up in Wyoming and Montana, and after serving his country honorably in Vietnam, he settled in Utah, where he met the love of his life, Tyna. They were married for four decades, true partners in every sense, and she was his everything. Her passing in 2017 left a hole in his heart, and the family takes comfort in knowing they are together again.

Bill had a mechanical mind and a craftsman's hands. He could build just about anything, whether a shelf, a shed, or a full home remodel, and he was always happiest tinkering in his garage with a cold beer nearby. His career began at the railroad and moved into maintenance engineering, and it ultimately led him to Karman Kitchens, where he spent more than 25 years before retiring.

Bill was a loving, kind man and he had nothing but warmth and love for his family: He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Josh and Val (and their son Liam), and Bobby and Patty (and their children JD and Brooke), as well as his siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Bill will be remembered for his love of the outdoors. Aside from his home, his favorite place was Sourdough Wilderness Ranch, where he spent summer weekends for decades enjoying the fresh air, the chipmunks, and doing his best to get everyone as excited about the moose as he was.
