Listen to Obituary

Virginia Watts, 86, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away at home on Saturday after living with lung cancer. She was born on August 15, 1940, to Dick and Doris Holzworth, in Glendive, Montana.

Her daughters, Debbie (John) Douglas of Arkansas, and Teresa Vaughn of Utah, lovingly remember her, along with three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her brother, David, and (Roslyn) Holzworth of Maryland, and her brothers-in-love, Gary Watts and Bruce Watts of South Dakota.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Watts; her parents, Dick and Doris Holzworth; her brother, Terry and (PerryLee) Holzworth; her sisters, Patricia Martin and Donna Hoffman; her grandson, Jameson Debow; and her brother-in-love, Lyle Watts.

Virginia married Don Watts, the love of her life, in 1974. He passed away far too soon in 1996. After 30 years, she will now be reunited with Don.

Throughout her working years, Virginia held several jobs. Still, she found her greatest joy in volunteering at the Taylorsville food pantry and at the senior center for more than 25 years. She loved helping people—it was her passion.

A family celebration of life will be held later.
