Virginia Tennant

Our loving mother and grandmother, Virginia Hardy Blair Tennant, age 100, died April 29, 2023, at home in Salt Lake City, Utah, from events of old age and Alzheimer's.

Born July 3, 1922, in Granite, Utah, a daughter of Thomas and Emily Blair.

Married Fred Tennant Jr. on December 1, 1945, in Elko, Nevada, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Virginia worked for many years as a bookkeeper in the wholesale grocery business. Active member of the LDS Church, mom served as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple as well as serving a mission with her husband in the Tallahassee Mission.

Survived by son Roger E Tennant, daughter Terry (Anthony) Trujillo, grandchildren Kelly (Travis) Gates, Nicolle (Ron) Tennant, Marcell Trujillo, Jabe Tennant, Julia Corwin and many great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, sons Blair Frederick (Rick) and Tyler Thomas Tennant, her brother and sisters and parents.

A viewing will be held on May 11th at 10:30 at the LDS Church located at 9880 S 3100 E, Sandy, UT. Graveside services will follow the viewing.
