Our lives were better because you were in it. You emulated the Savior with your giving nature and willingness to serve others. Our dear husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle died on November 19, 2021. Tim was born on January 29, 1964, in Murray, Utah to Edwin Timothy Jones and Judy Ann Player.
Tim was always ready to serve others and was often found snowplowing the neighborhood, helping those in need cleaning up a fallen tree, or giving car repair and computer advice.
He loved to fix anything from cars to computers. He was a ham radio operator and loved making new friends on the radio.
He enjoyed the outdoors and spent time fishing, camping, and 4-wheeling with family and friends any time of the year.
In 1982, Tim graduated from Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah. Where he lettered in track. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mexico City, Mexico and graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in statistics and a minor in Spanish.
He married Jenny Lynn Linford Chucay on April 22, 2004. They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple on November 3, 2007. Together they have 9 children and one grandson.
Tim enjoyed his church callings teaching children and youth the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The time spent teaching the young men how to tie knots, camp, fish, outdoor cooking, and how to fix cars gave him a lot of joy.
Tim is survived by his wife Jenny Jones; 9 children: Lindanne, Colby, Jacob (Tori), Stephen Chucay, Cynthia Chucay, Krystal Chucay, Devon, Nicholas, Danielle; grandson Chandler Chucay; his parents Edwin and Judy Jones; his 6 siblings: Christopher, Cathy, Eric, Kristianne, Melissia, Aaron; and many nephews; and nieces. He was preceded in death by his nephew Joshua Bell.
He loved his family and Tim will be missed by all of us who loved him and were blessed enough to have been served by him.
