In Loving Memory of Teresa L. Dumas

Sunday, December 19, 1965, was blessed by the birth of Teresa L. (Chapman) Dumas, daughter of Linda and Edward Chapman.

In life, Teresa was the wife to John LeRoy Dumas for 19 years. An amazing and loving mother to Casey, John, Samantha and Anthony; a doting grandmother to Ashtin; and a beloved sister to Nancy Kent, Elizabeth Hooks, and Thomas Chapman. She was also a fun-loving aunt to so many.

Teresa was the kind of person who would go without so others could have what they needed and often what they wanted. She always put her family first and never hesitated to help someone in need. No matter who she met, she always found something kind to say. She touched countless lives with her compassion, generosity, and love.

If you ever left something unattended for too long, misplaced it, or spent hours looking for it, only to suddenly find it right where you had already looked, it was probably Teresa playing games. We like to think she's still keeping us on our toes.
We hope to continue making you proud.

On Monday, May 25, 2026, this beautiful woman's soul left this earthly world to continue her heavenly journey. We will miss her deeply, but rather than mourn, we choose to celebrate her life and rejoice in all the good she brought into our lives.

Though you may be gone from this physical plane, you will never be forgotten. Every time we see or smell lilacs, we will think of you. Whenever we catch the scent of Little Sexy, we'll know you're nearby, sending encouragement, comfort, and guidance.

We love you, Teresa, and we always will.
