Tawnya Lewis Spencer was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family deeply and was loved just as deeply in return.
Tawnya was born on March 24, 1958, in Spokane, Washington and grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by her siblings and friends. She enjoyed a happy childhood that laid the foundation for her kind and generous spirit.
Her greatest joys in life were caring for her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, tending to her yard, and traveling whenever she had the chance.
Tawnya is survived by her husband, Larry Spencer; her son, Anthony L. Lewis; her stepson, Jason Spencer; and her grandsons, Austin T. Lewis-Bentley, Kayden Andrus, Andrew T. Lewis, and Cooper S. Lewis. She is also survived by her siblings, Leon Lewis (Robin), Laurie Kern (Jake), and Julie McWhorter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Irene Lewis, and her sister, Pam Lewis.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the church located at 895 West 4800 South, Taylorsville, Utah beginning at 11:00 AM. There will be a luncheon for family members after the service at 12:00 PM (noon).
Tawnya will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
