Steven James Prescott, 65, passed away on February 15, 2023, in West Valley City, UT.

Steve was born on December 16, 1957 in Salt Lake City, UT, to James Milton Prescott and Anna Elaine Vatsend.

Some of the things Steve enjoyed throughout his life were bowling, golfing, hanging out at the swimming pool, deer hunting, and watching movies. He was a huge NASCAR fan. He loved getting away from things and heading up to Kamas with his camper. Steve also loved working on his little garden and was very proud of his tomatoes. He could often be found sitting out front of his house visiting with friends.

Steve graduated from Murray High School in 1976 and attended Plattsburgh State University from 1978-1980 working towards a degree in Computer Science. From 1980-1984 Steve was enrolled at the National Radio Institute where he earned a certificate in Microcomputers and Microprocessors, graduating with honors. Steve spent his life working on or with computers. In 1994 he started his own business, Prescott Computer Repair.

Steve served in the Air Force from 1976-1980. He was so proud of his son for also serving our country, as a Naval Pilot.

Steve married Valerie Knezevich on January 16, 2020. Steve had 2 children, Kristy Jackman & Kirk Prescott.

Steve is survived by his wife Valerie, two children: Kristy (Josh) Jackman, Kirk (Julie) Prescott; eight grandchildren: Ashlee, Chandler, Courtney and Bearett Jackman, Kellie (Tyler) Hill, Brianna, Anneka, and Kirsten Prescott; mother Elaine Cheshire, and three brothers: Tony, Dan, & William Prescott.

Steve is preceded in death by his father James Milton Prescott, and brother Richard Prescott.

Family and close friends are invited to join us in celebrating Steve's life, with military honors, on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at noon, in the gym at the church on 2101 West 3100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84119. A light lunch will be served with time to share favrite memories. Steve's ash's will be spread at a later date.
