Stacie Clayton

Our courageous warrior, Stacie Renee Clayton, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, after a three-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 3, 1973, to Carol Renee Gainsforth and Douglas William "Bill" Clayton. Through her battle, she remained quick-witted and kept her sense of humor until the very end. Stacie had a kind heart and compassionate nature and wasn't one to complain, even on the bad days.

She is survived by our mom and stepdad Carol & Robert Gainsforth, sisters Brandy (Greg) Sturmer & Richelle Keyser; step-siblings Shilo (Sylvia) Davies, Shea Gainsforth, Julie (Dave) Hood, Kelly (Amanda) Martin, Adam (Amy) Martin; aunts, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.

Stacie was preceded in death by our dad, Bill Clayton, our grandparents Clark W. Young Sr. & Dorothy Blechert Young, Douglas Murray Clayton & Ardonna Jean Clayton; our uncles Clark & Kenny Young; our aunts Deann Lee, Cindy Roach & Laurie Mauss; our stepbrother Jessie R. Gainsforth, stepsister Nicole Martin, our cousin Ronnie Gainsforth and her nephew Adam Sturmer.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, 12pm-4pm at Cougar Park, 6650 South 4800 West, Kearns, Utah.
