Shirley Giles 1935 ~ 2011 Shirley Ann Williams Giles, 76, returned to our Heavenly Father July 5, 2011 from her home in Sandy, Utah. Born February 19, 1935 in Spring City, Utah, to Jesse P. and Ila D. Accord Williams. Graduated from South High School in 1953. She married the love of her life December 17, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. She served LDS missions with her husband in Frankfurt, Germany and a leadership mission in the Salt Lake Liberty Stake. Shirley learned how to move a family around the country having lived in Massachusetts, California, New Jersey, Texas and numerous homes in Utah. She loved animals. She was a dedicated grandma, always willing to babysit, always prepared to take pictures of the grandchildren and always kept a cookie jar full of homemade chocolate chip cookies. Survived by her husband, Adrian L. Giles; her children: Debbie Giles (Scott) Purdie, Wendy Giles (Jerry) Carmean, Rick D. (Myrla) Giles; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her cat, Molly. The family offers thanks to the Willow Creek 9th Ward for its assistance during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11, 2011, 12:00 noon at the Willow Creek 9th Ward, 2350 Creek Road, Sandy, Utah where a viewing will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So.
