Shelby Jean Hill, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and faithful daughter of Heavenly Father, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Jean lived a life of quiet faith, service, and devotion, and her Christlike love was felt by all who knew her.
Jean was born on August 20, 1938, in Adel, Georgia, to Edward and Marguerite (Patterson) Sutton, who preceded her in death. She was raised with strong values that guided her throughout her life. She worked tirelessly to create a home filled with love, kindness, laughter, and faith, always putting the needs of others before her own.
She is survived by her loving sons, David (Judy) Parrish and Anthony Dale (Cleo) Parrish; her sister, Betty (Mike) Stahl; nine grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will continue through each of them.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Hill, with whom she is now joyfully reunited; her parents; her doting son, Phillip Parrish; her dear grandson, David N. Parrish, who lovingly welcomed her home; her brother, James Sutton; and her sister, Dianne Clark.
