Ryan Douglas Miller, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 26, 1952, in Sunnyside, Washington, Ryan spent much of his life in West Valley City, Utah, where he touched the hearts of many with his warmth and kindness.
Ryan was proud to be a chimney sweeper, dedicating many years to his craft in the fireplace industry. His passion for his work was evident in every job he undertook, and he took great pride in ensuring that families stayed warm and safe in their homes.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ryan held a deep love for his faith and was especially devoted to doing temple work. His commitment to his beliefs and his community was a cornerstone of his life, bringing him joy and fulfillment.
Ryan's love story with his wife, Nelda "Mareen" Miller, began on July 31, 1992, when they were married in the Jordan River Temple. Together, they created a beautiful life full of laughter, love, and shared faith. He is deeply mourned by Mareen, his children, and his friends.
A graveside service will be held to honor Ryan's life on June 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Murray City Cemetery, located at 5490 South Vines Street in Murray, Utah.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, June 21, 2025, beginning at 3:00 PM at the Taylorsville Gardens Ward Building located at 4252 South Bennion Road in Taylorsville, Utah.
