Russell Huntsalong

Graduated from Flandreau Indian School, Flandreau, South Dakota High School.

Heavy construction school in Kansas.

Then, began college at Weber State University, but did not earn a degree there. He wanted to work instead.

Worked Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City, then onto a career in corrections for the State of Utah. Retired there in 2004. Then worked security for Kennecott. After that, he worked at the Tribal jail for a year, and finally retired for good.

He enjoyed that and spending time with family and friends.

His favorite pastime was Wendover with friends and family.

He is survived by all his immediate family.

There will be a viewing for Russell from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
