Roxey Davis Haynie, affectionately known by family as "Coke", passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on November 5, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones in South Jordan, Utah. She was born on November 24,1935 to Lois Stokes and Richard Davis in Tremonton, Utah. Roxey was the 2nd oldest out of 7 children.

She earned her bachelor's in nursing at Weber State University and went on to become a beloved and respected nurse caring for countless patients in her career.

In 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, Jack Stokes. Together they adopted and raised 3 children: her daughter Daphne, and sons John, and Jason. Roxey and Jack later divorced and then in 1988 she married Paul Haynie, with whom she shared many wonderful years until his passing in 2015.

Roxey found joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. She loved sewing, knitting, reading, and tending to her garden. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many callings. Her faith was a steady guiding light in her life, but above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family - whom she loved with her whole heart.

Roxey is survived by her daughter Daphne Adams (Mark), Jason Stokes (Amie), and her late son John's wife (Vicki).

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Haynie, her son John Stokes, and siblings: Dick Davis, Darlene Lamb (Lamont), Hugh Davis, Bette Davis, and Bob Davis. She was blessed to have 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

A celebration for her life will be held as a graveside service on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Provo Cemetery, 610 S. State Street, Provo Utah.

Roxey was known for her big heart, spunky spirit, and classy style. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave to others, the stories she told, and the laughter she shared. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
