Rosalie Gualazzi

On August 6, 2022, Rose passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Rose was born on September 12, 1948, to Melvin Willard Smith and Lois Valanee Smith. She was a kind and loving person. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. She would always help a person in need. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grand and great-grandchildren. She had many talents including bottling and canning fruits and vegetables. She had many jobs throughout her life, but she made a career of being a CNA as she truly loved being a caretaker.

She is survived by her children, Mike Gualazzi (Brenda), Shaunna Gualazzi (Nigel Moore), Justin Gualazzi (Alysha); siblings Galen John Smith (JoAnn); Leonard Smith (Shawna), six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as her siblings, Valanee Ann Smith, Willard LeRoy Smith and Valene May Valdez; as well as her husband Jean Pierre Gualazzi.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 12, 2022, 12:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah, where a viewing will be held prior to services from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
