Ronald Wallace

Ronald Wallace returned Home to his Heavenly Father on September 20, 2026. He was born on November 18, 1950, in Murray, Utah, to Marvin Wallace and Ruby Player. He married his sweetheart, Vicky Murray, on September 11, 1970, in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away at the age of 75, after a battle with renal cell carcinoma.

Our dad was one of the most loving and kind people you could ever meet. He deeply loved his wife and children and adored his grandchildren. He made every effort to attend his grandchildren’s events and was always proud of them and their accomplishments. Being with his family was one of his greatest joys in life.

Ron loved sports and was a talented athlete. In high school, he played both basketball and baseball and continued his love of sports throughout his life. He played fast-pitch softball on family teams as well as other teams, earning many awards along the way, including recognition for no-hitters, perfect games, and most strikeouts.

He also loved bowling and enjoyed being part of his bowling leagues and the friendships he made with his teammates. He was also an avid sports fan and loved watching the Atlanta Braves, Utah Jazz, and BYU sports. He was always ready to cheer on his teams, no matter what time they played.

Dad loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and some of his favorite memories were made on fishing trips with his grandchildren. He also loved his garden and enjoyed spending time working in it.

Dad enjoyed his years of working at Easton Technical Products and Home Depot. He enjoyed the work he did and, most especially, the people he worked with. He made friendships along the way and enjoyed the time he spent with his coworkers.

Family was everything to Dad. He loved his family deeply and was always there for them, through the good times and the difficult ones. He was loving, supportive, and dependable. Whenever he was needed, he was there. His family always knew they could count on him, no matter what. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. His kindness, laughter, and unconditional love will be deeply missed, but the memories he created with his family will stay with us forever.

Ron is survived by his wife, Vicky; their four children, Stephanie (Clay Shelley), Ronald Scott (Charice), Cathryn (Nathan Foster), and Charlene (Randy Davenport); 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 7 siblings. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jules Erin Davenport; his brother, Paul Wallace; and his brother-in-law, Sheldon Rolfe.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28th, at 2901 W. 9000 S., West Jordan, Utah.  A viewing will be held at 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Park.
