Ronald Isaac

Ronald Eugene Isaac, age 89, passed away in West Jordan, Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah the youngest of John and Winnifred Isaac's seven children. Ron graduated from West High School. He met his sweetheart Chloe McFadden while they were each working at the Saltair Beach Resort in the summer of 1953. Chloe worked selling tickets in Kitty Land and Ron worked in the Fun House (where they shared their first kiss) and the Root Beer Stand thus earning his nickname "Root Beer Ronnie". They were married February 4, 1956, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They spent 56 years together until Chloe's passing in 2012. Ron was Chloe's dedicated caretaker during the final years of her life, and he missed her deeply. They raised 3 boys and loved creating priceless family memories camping in their travel trailer and spending long weekends with children and grandchildren at their mountain cabin. Ron served in the Utah National Guard in a meteorological unit. He worked for many years at Bennett's Glass first as a glazier and later as an estimator. Following that, he did estimating of glass curtain wall projects for Steel Encounters. Ron was a devoted husband and father, a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a quiet, sensitive, generous, humble soul. He worked hard, sacrificed, led by example and never sought attention or praise. His great strength was in his meekness, kindness, and grace. He completed his mortal journey in the same way that he lived his life - peacefully, calmly, and gently. He was preceded in death by his wife Chloe, his parents, four sisters, two brothers, and great-granddaughter. He is survived by sons: Scott (Debbie), Steve (Kelly), Stewart (Carrie), 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing for friends and family on Monday, May 12, 2025, at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah from 10:00 AM - Noon, followed by a graveside service beginning at 12:30 PM at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
