Passed away on August 23, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, Delaware to John Edmund and Margaret Anne Byram Riley with twin brother John David (deceased), also a daughter Barbara Jane.

Raised in Flanders, New Jersey - Hercules, California - Salt Lake City, Utah.

Part of the first graduating class of Skyline High School.

Spent 3 years at the University of Utah studying political science.

Was a downhill ski racer and worked at Alta ski resort on the lift crew and ski patrol. He was a fruit train icer as well.

He served for 21 years in the Utah National Guard as a communication chief HQ and HW BTRY ICorps ARTY (Headquarters Battery ICorps Artillary).

Worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 34 years as a diesel electric locomotive electrician.
