Richard Blaine Davies, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 13, 2026, his 75th birthday.
Richard was born on September 13, 1951, in Murray, Utah, to Leola Maurine and Wilford Ray Davies. He grew up in Taylorsville, Utah with his three brothers, building lifelong bonds of love and friendship.
Though Richard lived with Cerebral Palsy his entire life, he met life and its challenges with grace and dignity. He never complained, remaining remarkably positive and inspiring everyone around him with his resilient outlook on life.
Richard possessed a deep passion for airplanes and spent countless hours meticulously putting together model aircraft. He cherished his family deeply and always looked forward to their frequent outings to Chuck-A-Rama. A faithful, lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Richard lived his life with quiet devotion and unwavering testimony.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the kind and compassionate caregivers at Rocky Mountain Care center who not only provided exceptional care for Richard but truly became his friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Maurine and Wilford Davies and his older brother, Joseph Ray Davies.
He is survived by his brothers, Charles (Mitsuko) Davies and Bruce (Laurie) Davies, as well as a loving extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
A graveside service will be held in his honor at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT., on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
