Ralph Smith

Ralph Eugene Smith, age 86, of West Valley City, Utah, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025.

He was born on March 4, 1939, in Murray, Utah, to Don Stallings Smith and Wanda Mary (Boulter) Smith.

Ralph faithfully served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Southern California. He worked for over 30 years at Monroe Elementary in the Granite School District. A devoted member of his faith, he served in many church callings, including bishop and scoutmaster.

He was an avid gardener and enjoyed painting ceramics, camping, and doing family history work.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, sister Peggy (Buckner), and granddaughter Sabrina Smith.

Services will be held at the Jordan North 5th Ward, 4100 South 3836 West, West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with interment at Valley View Memorial Park.
