Ralph Ashworth

December 19, 1938 — September 28, 2022

Ralph C Ashworth, 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 28, 2022, in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Ralph Ashworth was born on December 19, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ross Ashworth and Sarah Forman. He attended Jordan High School where he graduated in 1957. He then served in the United States Army from August 1957 to February 1962. Ralph started his professional career as an Emergency Responder for the Salt Lake County Fire Department where he spent most of his adult life rescuing those who were in need. When he was not fighting fires, he worked in construction as a Journeyman Plumber.

Ralph married Linda Margrete Yates on October 7, 1960 in Sandy, Utah and was sealed for time and eternity on April 30, 1965, in the Salt Lake Utah Temple. The couple had 3 sons, Ralph Dan Ashworth, of Lake Arrowhead CA, Kent C Ashworth (deceased) and Don Lynn Ashworth, of Rapid City SD. After Linda passed away Ralph meet and married Bonnie Merrill Warr on July 9, 1993.

Ralph will always be remembered as a big-hearted and generous man, a loving and giving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was hard working, humble and kind to others and would easily offer what he had to those in need. His ability to help family, friends and strangers was more of a treasure to him than any quest for monetary wealth. He loved his church callings, traveling and adventures, good food, and took pleasure in the good times with family. He especially enjoyed his family reunions in Bear Lake. His blue eyes would shine and you knew he loved life.

Ralph is survived by his sons Dan Ashworth (Suzanne) and Don Ashworth (Cindy); step-daughter Lezlie Sanders (Gordon); step-son Dean Warr (Lalani); daughter-in-law Lori Ashworth; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; his sister Dora Hansen (Carl); and several nephews and nieces.

Ralph is preceded in death by his loving spouses Linda and Bonnie; son Kent Ashworth; grandsons Jason Ashworth and Chad Riding; father Ross Ashworth; mother Sarah Ashworth; brothers Brent and Blaine Ashworth; sister Colleen Middelstadt.

Ralph is loved and will be missed. Those that had the good fortune to know him will cherish the good times and the beloved memories.
