Phyllis Mirabella

Phyllis Curtis Mirabella passed peacefully of natural causes on August 5, 2022, in Millcreek, Utah. Born September 27, 1936, in Ephraim, Utah to John Leon and Sarah Sorensen Curtis. A graduate of Cyprus High School class of 1954. Married Grant Melvin Erickson in 1954. Phyllis's two children, Sharron and Merris, were born to this union. Later divorced. Married Arland Harvey (Chris) Christensen on November 9, 1974. This marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 12, 1979. Chris passed October 30, 1987. Phyllis married her lifelong friend, David Glenn Brown, on August 3, 1996. David passed away October 2, 2005.

Years later, while driving through her old Magna neighborhood, Phyllis happened upon an old friend, Ernest Mirabella. This chance meeting rekindled their friendship which blossomed into a great love. Phyllis and Ernie married on June 5, 2016, and enjoyed each other's companionship and love every day thereafter.

Phyllis was employed by various companies, including Alder Construction, Bud Bailey Construction and eventually employed and retiring from Utah Power & Light Credit Union. She will also be remembered for her love of knitting. Many loved ones and friends have received masterfully crafted afghans that were created with love. Phyllis was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Ernie; daughter Sharron Petty; son-in-law Lance Klingler; step son Len Mirabella; grandchildren Katie Erickson, Cassie Maynard (Steve Meyer) and Jackson Petty; step grandchildren Brandon (Meagan) Booth and Blair (Jeff) Underwood; great-grandson Nicholas Meyer; and step great-grandchildren Chase Underwood, Corah Underwood, Easton Underwood and Paislee Underwood and Lyla Booth. She is also survived by her brother, John (Sharon) Curtis; and numerous cousins; nephews; and nieces.

Preceded in death by her parents; daughter Merris; husbands Chris and Dave; step daughter Keri Mirabella; sister-in-law Rose Keith; step son-in-law Luke Ludden; and sister Jean Davies.

A memorial service is to be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 11:00 am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ward building located at 12070 S. Laurel Chase Drive, (1515 W.), Riverton Utah.

Phyllis chose to be cremated. Her ashes will be interred at the Riverton, Utah Cemetery at a later date next to her husband Chris.

Rest in peace our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
