Phillip Wade Marsh, 87, passed away surrounded by love at his home on October 13, 2023, in West Valley City, Utah. He was born in Mapleton, Utah on April 17, 1936, to Timothy and Lapreal Marsh.

Wade married the love of his life, Shirley Powell Marsh, on December 19, 1958, in the Salt Lake Temple. Wade spent four years in Corpus Christi, Texas in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from BYU with his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, followed by a long career as an Electrical Engineer. He also had a love for teaching and spent several years teaching high school and college students.

Wade was a big sports fan and enjoyed watching his kids grow up playing on the court and field. He loved boisterously telling the referees and umpires what calls they missed or got wrong. He was passionate about his family and visited them often. Laughter was often heard from him and around him because of his quick wit and joking nature. He was loved and admired by all.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Powell Marsh, and is survived by his children: Cherie N. Marsh, Phillip E. (Brenna) Marsh, Paul W. (Lisa) Marsh, David L. (Chaunette) Marsh and Chelie M. (Michael D.) Marton; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, with another due in December.
