Pat passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, of natural causes.
Born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho, she was the daughter of Sylvia Margaret Hopkins and Jack Darwin Nelson. Tragically, her parents dies in a drowning accident on July 1, 1951, leaving she and her sister orphaned. Luckily, they were adopted by her maternal grandmother, Marjie Geswaldi, and her husband Joe.
Pat grew up in a happy family setting. Graduating from Pocatello High School in 19689, she then attended one year of college at Idaho State University. Life then took her to Dubois, Idaho where she worked in one of the potato processing plants there.
She met and married Clyde Stone and joined he and his 5 children. Life wasn't easy but they made the best of it, bringing into their family 3 more children -- Kathleen Rae, Anna Lee, and Michael Paul. After almost 30 years she and Clyde divorced. She then moved to South Jordan, Utah to live with her sister and her family. When medical problems became difficult, she moved to Rocky Mountain Cottage on Vine nursing home.
She is survived by her 3 children: Kathleen, Anna Lee, and Michael; her grandchildren: Chandler Hensley, Nicholas, Brianna, and Bobbi Stone, Krysta and Austin Stone; and one great-grandchild, Shelby Skye Hensley; as well as her sister, Jackie Devaul.
