Ora Lee Todd Elliott, age 84, was welcomed into the arms of loved ones as she passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born in Charleston, Utah to Kendall D. Todd and Edna Bacon Todd. At just 17 years old, Ora Lee met the love of her life, Alma Ronald Elliott. They were married on July 8, 1959, in the Manti, Utah Temple, and together built a beautiful life grounded in love, faith, and family. They were blessed with six children, and being a mother was Ora Lee's greatest joy and lifelong dream. She often told her children, "I'm the best mom you'll ever have," a promise she fulfilled every single day with her love, strength, and unwavering dedication.
Ora Lee approached life with warmth, adaptability, and quiet strength. She believed in making memories-often, changing plans at a moment's notice if it meant bringing joy to those around her. A master of problem-solving and family management, she lived by the motto, "One day at a time," always focusing on the present and giving her best to whatever was in front of her.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ora Lee instilled gospel principles in her children through quiet example and consistent faith. Her testimony was a guiding light in her home and family.
She was talented in many areas and worked tirelessly alongside Ron to provide for their family. Ora Lee was a gifted beautician for many years and an expert seamstress. Her skill and entrepreneurial spirit led to the purchase of Evans Supply, where she crafted stage curtains for churches, schools, and theaters across the region.
Later in life, she found deep fulfillment as a school bus driver for Salt Lake City and Granite School Districts. She adored the children she transported each day and took pride in providing them with safe passage. She retired from Granite School District Transportation in June 2009.
In her later years after retirement, Ora Lee devoted her time and love to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She rarely missed a sporting event, concert, recital, or celebration-always showing up with support, pride, and a loving heart. Whatever the occasion called for, she was there, cheering on the people she loved most.
Ora Lee was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alma Ronald Elliott; her daughter, Ronda Lee Wayman; her parents, Kendall and Edna Todd; and her sisters, Joyce Davis, Aldena George, and Florence "Flory" Taylor.
She is survived by her children: Lesia (Robert) Hatch, Jay (Stacy) Elliott, DeAnn (Cory) Worthen, Dawn (Paul) Worthen, and Chad (Emily) Elliott. She is also survived by her brothers, Bruce (Verla) Todd and LaMar Todd. She leaves behind a legacy of 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who will carry her love, lessons, and spirit forward for generations to come.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Intermountain Hospice care team and the caring staff of Sunridge Assisted Living Center in Roy, Utah. Their love and support over the past 18 months have been unwavering and deeply appreciated.
