Norma Roberta Fullmer Jorgensen  August 6, 1931 - September 28, 2025

Norma Roberta Fullmer Jorgensen, age 94, of West Valley City, Utah passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, from causes incident to age.

Roberta was born on August 6, 1931, in Darlington, Idaho, to Albert Whiting Fullmer Sr. and Norma Richardson Fullmer. She was the second of seven children and developed a strong spirit of resilience and love from an early age.

At a church dance celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Latter-day Saints' arrival in the Salt Lake Valley, Roberta met the love of her life, Kay Lerwill Jorgensen. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on her 17th birthday. From that day forward, they built a life of faith, hard work, and devotion to family.

Roberta graduated from Mackay High School and soon embraced motherhood, raising nine children. Her first three-Louise (1949), Wendell (1950), and Carl (1951)-came quickly, followed by a life-altering diagnosis: polio. Though doctors doubted she would survive, walk again, or bear more children, Roberta defied every expectation. She went on to raise six more children-Gary (1953), Karalea (1954), Lora Jean (1955), Allen (1957), Brent (1962), and Ronnie (1965) --with courage, determination, and an unfailing sense of humor.

She lived with the effects of polio for 74 years but never let it define her. Her children never once heard her complain. She simply kept going -- serving, teaching, and loving.

Roberta was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many callings, including Relief Society President, Primary President, ward organist, and teacher to countless children and youth. Her faith was quiet but unwavering, and her life was one of service.

If you knew Roberta, you were likely fed, hugged, helped -- or all three. She had a deep love for the Lord and an even deeper love for people. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her heart always willing.

She is survived by eight children, 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings David Fullmer, Howard Fullmer, Carma Jensen, and Jeannie Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kay, in 1998; her daughter Louise in 2022; her sister Arlene; and her brother Albert.
