Noel Cleverley Lyman

Noel Cleverley Lyman unexpectedly passed away July 16, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family. Noel was born December 20, 1957. He was the son of Truman Snow Lyman and Leona Cleverley Lyman. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Michelle. Noel and Michelle were sealed in the Washington, DC temple on June 18, 1981 and began building their life together. He is survived by their children, Shanna (husband Josh, son Nathan and daughter Katrienne), Stephanie (daughter Savanna),Chelsea (husband Cameron, son Cahleb and daughter Charlee), Haley (husband Kevin), Nicholas, Amber (husband Christian, daughter Brynlee and son Dawson) and Ashley (husband Daniel, daughter Eleanor). He is survived by his three older siblings, Sandra, Cleo and Kent. He loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, horseback riding and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed family get togethers. His grandchildren loved spending time with Grandpa, getting tickles, and eating treats. He grew up learning the lesson of hard work and passed that onto his children. As a child, he lived in Boulder, Utah, and helped his father on the family farm doing chores and wrangling cattle. He was the ultimate cowboy and enjoyed riding bulls in the rodeo in his younger years. He was known as Mr. Friendly, because he would listen and talk with just about anyone. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who served in many capacities. His latest calling being the First Counselor in a UVU YSA ward. He put his whole heart and soul into everything he did and it showed. He is loved and missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 21st, 11:00 a.m. at the UVU YSA Third Stake Center, 1075 South Geneva Road, Orem, UT., where viewings will be held Thursday, July 20th, 6-9:00 p.m. and prior to services on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. A luncheon will follow the funeral for members of his family.
