Neva Carlene Faust

Neva Carlene Faust, 99, passed away surrounded by family on the evening of October 16, 2026. Her strong religious background in the Church of Christ carried her through life and continued with her prayers to be taken home soon. She was born to Carl and Seneccie Dobbins on April 19,1927, in Obion County, Tennessee. She was married to Morris Eugene Faust for 71 years prior to his passing in 2016. They had two sons and many longtime friends.

After their marriage they stayed on the farm, but she was never a 'farm girl'. After moving to Memphis, she went to work for National Automotive Parts Association (NAPA) working in a parts fulfillment position, and stayed with NAPA on and off over 25 years, achieving a supervisory position. Hard work was something she tried tirelessly to instill in her children. She enjoyed traveling in their campers and hosted several of their friends to take different cross-country trips with them. She wanted others to see what she had seen - and what they might see. She also always went to elk camp with the family, where she was a great camp cook. She loved to crochet in her downtime and made hundreds of beautiful doilies, some adorning her home, but most of them were given to others. She was giving to a fault, but was never afraid to vocalize anything she thought someone needed to hear, especially if that someone was one of her children.

Carlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Carlene's memory will be cherished and kept alive not just her loving family, but the many friends she has made across the country.

Carlene will be laid to rest with her husband at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park, 17111 South Redwood Road -- just north of Camp Williams in Bluffdale, Utah. A graveside service will be held for the family.
