Listen to Obituary

Nancy Rae Watson passed away in her home on Friday, November 28, 2025. She was 80 years old.

Nancy was born in Ogden, Utah on October 18, 1945, to Raymond and Jeanne Cardon. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1963 and received her English degree from Whitworth University in 1967.

She married Duane Lee Watson on September 13, 1969.

Nancy was a schoolteacher who loved teaching kids. She was always interested in people and other cultures; hosting students from Brazil and Germany. She always cheered for the underdog, was curious about people, and if you sent her a witty smart-ass card - you made her day. And she never threw it out.

She loved the Beatles, Elton John, and shopping. She had a great love for (and nurtured many) plants.

Animals, of any kind, brought her joy. She was always very proud of the dogs she rescued; Chelese, Boogie, Woodstock, Kenya, Dingo, Zeus, and Sasha.

She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Jeanne Cardon, her sister Patti Sue Cardon, and her nephew Matthew Welker.

She is survived by her husband Duane Lee Watson, her daughters Keri Anne Watson (Thorsten Moeckel), and Wendi Fagedes Watson (James Fagedes), her son Colin Watson (Jeri Broadhead), her grandson Noah, granddaughter Annabelle, nephew Braden Welker, and brothers Randy C. and Kelly Gene Cardon and their families.
