Minnie Salas

January 12, 1940 — August 2, 2022

Minnie passed away at the age of 82 on August 2, 2022, at 8:20 am in South Jordan, Utah surrounded by her loved ones sharing stories, laughing, crying, and surrounding her with love and peace.

Minnie was born in Canoncito, New Mexico to Enemias & Josephine, later on Enemias married Triniadad, she grew up having a total of eight brothers and sisters. Minnie grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where she built her family. She married her first husband and had three children from her second marriage she gained another daughter.

Minnie was a loving, kind, selfless, sharp-tongued woman who was strong and taught her children that same fierceness. She enjoyed taking road trips to New Mexico and Colorado to visit family. She loved spending the day in the mountains especially in fall to see the leaves turn, cooking for her family, baking something sweet like her oatmeal cookies or zucchini bread for Christmas and keeping busy cleaning her home which she took much pride in no matter where she lived. She was a person of faith and lived life serving others as many have come to love Minnie just for that reason. Wherever Minnie went she came across someone she knew or made a friend; she has made an everlasting impression during her life.

Our mother and grandma was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild whom she loved dearly and would have given anything in the world to spend more time with. She will be dearly missed and loved forever.

-Miss me a little but not for long, for this is a journey we must all take and each must go alone. It's all part of a bigger plan, a step on the road to home. Remember the love we once shared, miss me a little but let me go.
