Michael Black

Michael Jay Black passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2023 in his home. He was born July 19, 1962, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Jay and Helen Black.

After 30 years at the United States Postal Service, Mike began his dream career as a police officer with Kearns Unified Police Department. He enjoyed regaling his 5 children with stories from his nights at work.

Mike is survived by five children: Miquelle, Nate (KayDee), Zach, Tony (Gaby), and Isabelle; four grandchildren: Hadley, Ellie, Leila, and Grace; his mother, Helen, three brothers, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He also left a wedding ring for each of his sons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jay.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mike's life at a viewing on Friday, March 3, 6:00-8:00 PM, and a funeral on Saturday, March 4 at 12:00 PM. LDS Church Building 1250 W 1400 S, Salt Lake City.
