Maureen Walker Clark, age 77, passed away on May 26, 2026, due to complications following surgery.
Maureen was born on May 14, 1949, in Provo, Utah to William James Walker Jr and Erma Shakespeare. Shortly after, they moved to Ely, Nevada where she lived until graduating from White Pine High School. She was awarded a scholarship to attend BYU and graduated with a bachelor's degree in food and nutrition. During her college years, she met and fell in love with her husband Charles G. Clark (Chuck) and they married on September 2, 1971, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They started their family with the birth of Ryan Charles Clark in 1974, Rachel Clark (deceased) in 1976, and Melissa Clark Pehrson in 1978. Chuck and Maureen are also proud grandparents of four.
Maureen's interests included bowling in leagues for many years, watching baseball and basketball (especially the Utah Jazz), boating, parasailing, shopping, talking to people, and selling Avon. She enjoyed time at the family cabin riding four-wheelers and snowmobiles, moose watching, and just enjoying time outdoors with family. She loved animals, and they all loved her back. She was a family legend for her Christmas Eve parties gathering both sides of the family for one amazing night each year. This family tradition was enjoyed by all for 54 years. Most of all she loved being a Mom and Grandma. One of her strongest attributes was compassionate service to others. She was generous and often took meals or gifts to people in need.
She is survived by her husband Chuck, son Ryan (Kelly), daughter Melissa (Todd), grandchildren Clark and Annie Pehrson, Danner and Nash Clark, brother Terry (Cindy) Walker, and sisters Jeannette Fong and Marilyn May.
She is preceded in death by her father Bill, mother Erma, and daughter Rachel.
