Mary Louise Briggs Magnusson passed away on November 17, 2022, in Brigham City, Utah, just two days before her 87th birthday. She was born on November 19, 1935, to Arta and Moroni Briggs in Ephraim, Utah.
Growing up, Mary was active and involved in sports, especially softball. At a young age, she moved to Salt Lake City, where she worked in a variety of jobs. Her best friend, Liz set her up on a blind date where she met her future husband, Rolf Magnusson.
They were married on August 29, 1958, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with five children. Family has always been a high priority to her, especially attending the various activities her grandchildren participated in. She spent her life serving and caring for others and as a result developed many lifelong friends. She made hundreds of quilts for newlyweds, newborns, and charities. She fulfilled many callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served two full time missions in the Stockholm, Sweden Temple and also enjoyed her time serving as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple.
Mary is survived by her children Kristina (Harvey) Brown, John Warren (Teresa) Magnusson, Mark (Tresa) Magnusson, Karen (Stephen) Jensen; and her sister Lucille Sondrup, 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bernt Rolf Lennart Magnusson; daughter Linda Rae; granddaughter Rachel Linnea and siblings; Gordon, Gwen, Maxine, Ted and Robert.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022, 9:30-10:15 a.m., at the Leola Ward on 1505 Whispering Meadows Lane, Kaysville, Utah 84037. A small service will be held immediately following at 10:30 a. m.
Interment will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery in Ephraim, Utah on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home, Taylorsville, Utah.
