March 22, 1939 — May 1, 2011

Marilyn Poulton Families are Forever Marilyn Veloy Poulton, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend, returned into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father and reunited with her eternal companion, Kenneth W. Poulton, on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Mom was born March 22, 1939 in Provo, Utah, to Donna V. Andrew, and Harold L. Peterson, and is the oldest of four siblings. She was sealed for time and all eternity to her sweetheart, Kenneth Williams Poulton, on February 12, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mom was a lifelong student of the scriptures, and an active member of the LDS Church, having served faithfully in many callings. Nothing was more important to mom and dad than creating an eternal family, developing a testimony of the restored gospel, and serving others. Mom always made certain that family gathered together for holidays, special events, family home evenings and birthdays. She valiantly served as the center of our family circle during her separation from dad. We have many rich memories because of the time that we have spent together, and will miss mom s laughter, personality, and love. Mom had a unique way of connecting with everyone on a personal level. She will greatly miss her vacations, movies, late night visits, luncheons, and other fun activities with the Golden Girls, M&M s, Single Sisters family and friends. Mom is survived by daughters, Kaelyn Witherspoon and Christine Walker; son, Brent Poulton; eight grandchildren; father, Harold L. Peterson; sister, Gail Fielding; brothers, Robert Peterson, Lee Peterson and Lynn Peterson. She was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Kenneth Williams Poulton; and her mother, Donna V. Peterson. She will be honored for her devotion to her family, friends and her Savior at funeral services to be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 11:00 a.m. at the Jordan North Stake Center, 3900 South 4000 West, West Valley City, Utah 84120.
