Marilyn Bowen

December 21, 1932 — July 1, 2025

Marilyn W. Bowen, 92, of West Valley City, Utah died peacefully at home on July 1, 2025. She was born on December 21, 1932, in Oakley, Utah to Coral Clark Wilde and Lyle L. Wilde. 

She met her husband and sweetheart, Reed, at the Clover Leaf Dairy in SLC, where they both worked. They were later married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 7, 1952. 

Marilyn retired from Pioneer Valley Hospital after working over 20 years as a radiology technician and subsequently as head of security for ZCMI.

 She was a faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served, among other callings, as Primary President, Relief Society President, and Stake Relief Society President. She enjoyed singing, camping, flower gardening, crocheting, rock collecting, and spending time with family and friends. 

She adored her husband and sweetheart, Reed, and loved the gospel and reading the scriptures. 

Marilyn is survived by her children, Noel Bowen, Terah (Scott) Perry, Sanda (Ray) Roberts, Dana Bowen, Neena (Ron) Bowen-Buckles, and Austin (Lisa) Bowen, as well as their many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A viewing will be held at the Bernina Ward House, 3045 W. Bernina Drive, Taylorsville, Utah, on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:45 am followed by Funeral services at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park.
