Marilyn Anderson Butterworth Allen McLeroy

Our sweet wife, mother, and grandmother passed away April 30, 2018 in her home in Pahrump, Nevada. Marilyn had a wonderful life centered around family, faith and friends. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was an example of charity and service as she fulfilled many assignments. Marilyn also served her community, including PTA President and Co-chair of the Taylorsville Centennial Committee. Marilyn was born on May 24, 1939, to Herman and Bernice (Wickers) Anderson. She is survived by her husband Ken; son Jay Donald (Ina) Butterworth; daughters Jackie Lynn (Jeff) Jones, Christine (Tyler) Mendenhall, Tammara Cooper; Ken's sons, Kenny McLeroy, Keith (Sherry) McLeroy; and daughters Lisa (Tommy) Taber and Michelle McLeroy; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Bernice (Wickers) Anderson; brother Donald Anderson; and sisters Raelene Moone and Diane Westerman; her son William Lee Butterworth; and her husband William C. Allen. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville North Utah Stake Center, 1250 West Atherton Drive. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00, prior to funeral services. Interment will be at Utah Veterans Cemetery, 17111 So. 1700 W., Bluffdale, Utah.
