Lynne Ann (Meier) Miedke, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on February 23, 2026. She was born in Abilene, Kansas on October 10, 1945, to Laura May and Percy Emerson Meier.
She married the love of her life Philip Miedke on May 15, 1992. Together they had 34 amazing years, surrounded by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. To Lynne and Phil their family is everything. In the early years of their marriage, they spent countless hours and miles flying in Phil's airplane. The miles traveled were equivalent to circling the world multiple times. They enjoyed many travels together and saw the world. Whether it be a camping trip to the desert, fishing in the mountains, or 5,000 miles away from home, from Northern Alaska to Southern Mexico, they had done it all together. They loved every second as long as they were hand-in-hand.
Survived by her husband Phil Meidke, daughters Lisa Wilson (Dana), Tammy Sprouse (Kenny), sons Von Swain (Dana), Tony Wilson (Angela), step-daughter Kyle Phillips, son-in-law Kevin Centers, grandchildren, Erica Koustas ((Bill) Evan & Kyle), Katie O'Hara ((Brian) Parker & Connor), Madeline Salzano ((Joey) Giuseppe, Nico & Sofia), Alicia Brent (Khloe, Jackson & Sophie), Taiya Nelson ((Derek), Everett, Kylo & Tucker), Brayden Morgan, Taylor Bradley, Alex Wilson, Isabel Phillips, Lynne Wilson (Sapphire), Grace Wilson, AJ Wilson, Andre Dean, Cameron Dean, sister Mary Bronson, and many nieces and nephews, and Sandy, her beloved dog.
Lynne is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Christine Dean-Centers, brother Larry Meier, mother-in-law Marjorie Miedke, father-in-law Robert Miedke, Patsy Ann, and Cheyanne, her beloved dogs.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2 pm, at McDougal Funeral Home (4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah).
I Live On
I died but did not leave you.
I am here, and have not gone.
Though my spirit left my body
Don't be sad, for I live on.
My love is all around you.
Can you feel it? Can you see?
That gentle breeze upon your face
Is not the wind…but me.
I’m the sweet song of a bluebird
When spring is in the air.
I'm the roses in a garden.
You can find me everywhere.
Whenever you are missing me
Look up to heaven’s skies.
I'm the twinkle in the stars.
I'm the sunset, and sunrise.
I'm a raindrop and a rainbow.
Im the oceans waves of blue;
So everywhere you go you'll know,
I live on, loving you.
