Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynn A. Larsen on Sunday September 21, 2025 in his home at West Jordan Care Center. Lynn was born on August the 5th, 1971 to Art T Larsen and Joy Ione Brown Larsen. A cherished son, brother, and uncle; Lynn was the light of his family's life, adored by his parents and four older siblings. He greeted the world with a "what's up buddy?" and a fist-bump, a simple gesture that brought immeasurable joy to those around him.

Although life presented him with unique challenges, Lynn lived with a profound and inspiring contentment, finding beauty in the simple things. He shared a special bond with animals, especially dogs, a feeling that was always reciprocated.

Lynn enjoyed spending time in the mountains with his family. From fishing with his dad to riding his four-wheeler, he was always up for an adventure. He enjoyed trips to the pool, the DI, or a restaurant with his mom. He attended Hartvigsen school and special needs mutual, and was a decorated Special Olympics athlete, earning gold and silver medals in swimming and basketball.

Lynn's infectious, one-of-a-kind laugh was a melody to his family's ears, and his radiant smile was so big it would hide his beautiful blue eyes. With a persistent and adventurous spirit, he would often ask, "when sooner we gonna do something fun though?" A trip to the gas station for a "Doc Pepper" was all it took to make his day.

Lynn had a strong faith in his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He was a gentle, kind, and loving soul who brought only goodness into the world. He possessed a pure spirit and a remarkable ability to sense when others were sad, offering a calm and gentle presence to his loved ones.

Though his family wishes for more time with him, they are eternally grateful for the laughter, funny phrases, and the boundless love he shared. His childlike innocence and silly antics will be dearly missed.

Lynn was preceded in death by his father, Art; his mother, Joy; and his brother, Layne A Larsen. He is survived by his siblings, Kay Larsen Hadley (Greg), Diana Larsen Young (Warren), and Sherm A. Larsen; his sister-in-law, Jackie; and his many nieces and nephews.

The family offers its heartfelt thanks to the staff at West Jordan Care Center for the wonderful care and love they gave Lynn.
