Lorin Lords

Lorin Darrell Lords was born on October 21, 1948, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Darrell Melvin Lords and Ethel Davidson Lords.

Lorin was the oldest of six children: Alan, Steven, Garth, Keith, and Barbara. He attended elementary school in St. Anthony through the third grade and then moved with his family to Aberdeen, Idaho.

After graduating from Aberdeen High School, Lorin married his high school sweetheart, Victoria Beck, on June 9, 1967. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in business administration from BYU followed by a master's degree in computer science from USU.

Lorin and Vicky had four children: Tamra Kay, Daniel Lorin, Krystal Victoria, and Jacob Darrell. Now they have five grandchildren: Noah, Liam, Victoria, Max, and Geo.

Lorin was a computer programmer and database administrator for 35 years. He worked in the Temple department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 15 years, traveling the world as part of his employment. Lorin also worked for Nu Skin and Young Living Essential Oils.

He loved traveling with his wife, Vicky, and visited almost every state in the US, as well as 12 countries. Lorin loved being with his family, playing board games, camping, golfing, and going to movies. He especially loved watching his children and grandchildren in various activities: clogging, sporting events, horseback riding, 4-H, musicals, plays, and recitals.

Lorin passed away on April 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Ethel Lords; brother, Garth Lords; and son, Daniel Lords. Lorin is survived by his wife, Vicky Lords; children, Tamra Lords, Krystal (George) Pierce, Jacob (Greta) Lords; daughter-in-law, Marta Lords; and his five wonderful grandchildren.
